Lowsignal were
formed in 2003 when two guys met up...they had a vision...they wanted
to play music they enjoyed and hoped others would enjoy too. One was a
local Peterborough lad, who had played the drums for a host of local
bands over past years. The other, a Spanish guitar player whose
passion for music was obvious.
At the time, the
other people involved were a keyboard player and a bassist. The wheels
were set in motion and rehearsals began. Our struggle to find someone
to sing had also began. After a while a vocalist was found...ex Kinch
vocalist Phil was recruited for the job and proved to be very
enthusiastic about his new role.
The songs were
now coming thick and fast but problems were abundant. The need for a
new bass player was obvious, and the need for a full time keyboard
player was also being questioned. So with the original bassist gone,
and the keys as well, we were back to three. The hunt for a new four
string fanatic was on. After a series of failed bass players and
mounting tension within the band, Lowsignal now have the one they were
looking for - someone to provide melodic flowing bass lines to
compliment poppy guitar riffs at an energetic speed. Whilst searching
for a bassist - the band also lost their vocalist too, after a few
differences. The search for band members began again, this time for
someone that would compliment the style of music that we had in mind.
Many local singers were auditioned, but none seemed to quite be what
we were looking for. After a couple of months we decided to remain as
a three piece.
Rehearsals began
again with a new edge and a new vitality based in power pop songs and
catchy melodies...after a few months of work Lowsignal now have an
albums worth of quality material, and have been gigging locally over
the past few months. A good fan base has now been established, and we
are now set to go!
Lowsignal are:
Lorenzo - guitars
and vocals.
Aidan - bass and
vocals.
Miles - drums and
vocals.
