 Cyrus
originally formed in the year 2000, with members from previous rock
and punk acts contributing towards a more dynamic and progressive rock
style than any of their past offerings. Influenced by various music
styles, (ranging from contemporary rock and pop to hardcore, punk and
metal) Cyrus achieve a truly unique sound, that is as catchy as it is
energetic presented at the highest standard.
Over the last
couple of years Cyrus have managed to form a large fan base and gain
support from the media, including being on a compilation CD for
Terrorizor magazine and being featured in various fanzines receiving a
high profile review from BBC Radio One’s Steve Lamacq.
The music Cyrus
produce - hard hitting sugar-coated melodies and screaming from dual
vocalists Dave and Jon along with a mix of guitar sounds ranging from
heavy riffing to soft progressions and defined rock grooves combined
with powerful and chaotic drumming, gives Cyrus their own individual
style.
Cyrus have
finished recording their self-titled E.P and plan to use this to get
as much exposure as possible to help them get to the next level. The
CD consists of solid tracks that show how their songwriting has
developed and formed into powerful melodic music with hooks left right
and centre. The band have spent the last year gigging in and around
London with bands such as Skinlab, Sugarcoma, Freebase, Labrat and Cry
For Silence and now, with a live show that will leave you both
speechless & breathless, are ready to take on the world. And they are
going to win.
