back to PUNK/METAL

Poser is an all American 4 piece Emo/Punk Rock band. Currently, they have recorded and have released their debut EP, Scars That Never Fade, on Definitely Sound Records. Making a great name for themselves with their emotionally charged live shows they have worked very hard perfecting their profession. The members are Zach Ross, lead guitar/singer/songwriter; his brother Luke Ross drummer; Kevin Kingsbury, guitar/singer/songwriter, Donovan Seaberg, bass/singer.

Started by brothers Zach and Luke in '99 they gained and lost members writing songs and playing where they could. With a constant goal in mind, they never doubted the bands possibilities. However, their plans were soon put on hold when Zach and Luke's dad, being in the military, was sent to serve in the U. K. Zach and Luke found friends with the same musical interests. Wanting to get another guitarist Zach noticed Kevin playing at school. Although his style was different he asked Kevin to be the 4th member in the band. Kevin said yes; however, their temp bass player at the time dropped out to pursue college. Zach called a friend from the states and he came to England to complete Poser.

The band was approached by a group of ex-musicians from the groups Katrina and the Waves, and Johnny Hates Jazz. They were in collaboration with Phil Thornally, (The Cure) to develop a band playing a certain kind of music. Unfortunately, it wasn't at all what Poser was trying to do with their music. With influences of American bands like The Used, Blink 182, Alkaline Trio, My Chemical Romance, New Found Glory, Taking Back Sunday and Senses Fail, they found it very difficult to work with folks trying to make the next U.K. band Busted. So they parted ways.

Once this period ended, the band began seriously writing and playing as many gigs as possible. Participating in a November '03 Battle of The Bands in New Market UK changed everything. They led the pack of 20 bands to win the competition, validating their popularity with the fans. Richard Brown of The Junction in Cambridge rated POSER as a a band of full potential. Poser went into the studio to record some songs in order to get gigs. Immediately, they obtained places to play in London, Cambridge, Bury St. Edmunds and at the military bases of both Lakenheath and Mildenhall. All the while they continued to write. Definitely Sound Records, a small indie label signed them to an EP deal to include a release of a single with video. In the spring 04, POSER completed the video. The EP released in Jul 04 to fantastic sales. Poser are sponsored by Fender guitars and the entire band has a clothing endorsement by StareCo. clothing company out of San Diego, California. They have developed a strong street team led by an ambitious young lady Gina Scott in Scotland and continue to work for support both in the UK and the USA.
