Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Helienne finished High School in New York.
"I felt at home in Manhattan right away. Growing up in Sweden, I was considered "over the top". In Manhattan there's no such thing as being "over the top"."
Using her boyfriend's home studio, she started writing and recording her own songs. She taught herself to play guitar and keyboards. Meanwhile, she supported herself as a singing waitress at a Jewish restaurant and gigging with her band.
Wanting a change of scenery, she relocated to London. BMG Publishing picked up on her talent and flew her to Stockholm to work with some of their biggest names. She already has a song coming out on a Swedish BMG album.
Since Helienne arrived in London, she's been gigging around the U.K., both acoustically and with her band. "Writing and recording in the studio is all good" says this bright young talent "but when I'm performing is when I am truly alive!"
